You've got an open cheque book-Which one player in World Football would you sign?

You're at home flicking through teletext and the phone rings. You answer and on the other end of the line is Arsene Wenger. He tells you he fancies having a day off and asks you to sign him a player who can improve this current Arsenal squad. You have an open cheque book, and the club can guarantee the signing of the player you choose. So, which player in world football do you sign?

It's a difficult question. There are hundreds of players racing through your mind at once. To be honest, its the superstars of world football that come to mind straight away. Players like Kaka, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, E'eto and Henry (Erg-Been there!)

After thinking long and hard about this and weighing up my many options, I plumped for a player who isn't a superstar. Well not yet anyway! A player who plays in the Premiership, and he isn't foreign either! (Not that that makes a difference!) The player I decided to sign and would love this to happen, is Micah Richards.

We all know about Micah Richards. I rate him so highly it's unreal! He is absolutely superb. Built like a boxer and extremely agile with plenty of pace. He try's playing football as well, not just hoofing the ball down the pitch like John Terry! His performance against ManUsa earlier in the season was breathtaking.

He is a versatile player, comfortable at right-back or centre back. Currently England's number one right-back, he will surely will the future rock in the centre of England's defence. He will be one of the best centre backs in world football. No doubt about it.

It's well known that he followed Arsenal as a kid, and I think he'd jump at the chance of joining Arsenal. He loved Wrighty and Vieira. Could you imagine joining your boyhood club? It'd be a dream come true.

If he was at Arsenal, he'd learn from two of the best centre backs in the game. Gallas and Sende.....I mean Toure! He would eventually proceed Gallas and form a partnership with Toure, that I believe would be unmatched anywhere. What a future backline, Sagna Toure Richards Clichy!

So Mr Wenger, make a Gooner happy. Get on the phone, give me an open cheque book and let me get Micah Richards!
