Those five words are exactly how I would describe Philippe Senderos.
I like the man. He always tried his heart out for Arsenal and for that I will always have a soft spot for him to go with the soft spot in my head.
I'm no Derek Acorah or Mystic Meg but unfortunately I don't see him having a future with Arsenal. Not after he was sent out on loan last season and after the signing of the Belgian bun.
He will be a very good centre back, just not in an Arsenal shirt. The Premiership is too fast for him.
Philippe should look for a move back to Italy, a place I've always believed would suit him a lot more than England.
Senderos did Okay at Milan but obviously not enough to warrant a permanent move there. I wonder if Carlo Ancelotti leaving the club is the main reason for the move not happening?
Arsenal now have got quite a good bargaining tool in Senderos for any potential transfer target. Especially in Italy.
We could use him in a swap-deal kind of way. Maybe Senderos+£10m could nail Melo?
Keep it Goonerish................

ReplyDeleteAnother shit post?
ReplyDeleteWTH this Fat Sendi come from in this?
I agree! Heard a rumour from my "Contact" at Arsenal that we will get franck ribery for £30 million, Andrei Arshavin a bowl of me Aunts trifle... Me aunt just said NO so the deals off!!
ReplyDelete"Another shit post?

Confused.com!
What does that comment mean other than saying its a shit post?
melo really isnt that good!
ReplyDeletegilberto showed him up in the confederations cup...
dont know what the big fuss about melo is, i think hes been well overrated by the media, heard he got 17 yellow cards and a few reds and i was like WTF?! and thats in the italian league, i just cant see him hacking it in the EPL. ive seen vids of him and the confeds cup and he just looks average at best.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Melo is so overrated, he'll spend most of his time in the stands serving suspensions due to his suspect tackling.
ReplyDeleteIf we're going to do a swap how about Adebayor for Flamini? Doubtful I know, but it would be a great move for both players. We need someone with a bit more class than Melo, Alonso would have been perfect.
Also anyone who thinks we're actually going to sign Benzema or Ribery needs a reality check.
melo is an overrated player, not worth 15 million at all. as many ppl have pointed out as well, he was completely outshined by berty anyway.
ReplyDeleteimo, if he can prove his fitness, mahamadou diarra cud be the best signing of the summer of any team in the epl. he is a man mountain and has bags of champions league experience, as well as that vital winning mentality. he is a lion in the heart of midfield. as it seems he does not have a place in the new galacticos era at madrid, he might be available for about 10 million or so.
and i fully lol'd at the nonsense the notw printed today as well as yesterday - ribery....benzema?!?!? arsenal fans who get sucked into that nonsense deserve a slap!
the sun and the notw can suck my balls!!
Don't want Melo to be honest, over-rated in my opinion. Our dire need for a competent defensive midfielder has inflated his abiblty in many Gooner's eyes.
ReplyDelete15 million is a lot of money for anyone, let alone a defensive midfielder of Melo's standard. From what i've heard he just a bit better than Song and Denilson. Melo would struggle in the prem, would always be suspended. I don't see Wenger spending big on a DM, most likely someone who will be gone in 2/3 years time to make way for Denilson, Song.
I would certainly fancy a Flamini and +- 15mil swap for Ade. Certainly a long, long shot but wouldnt completely rule it out. I know Wenger doesnt buy back players, but this could be an exception as Flamini left on his own terms.
I agree with the buy diarra post. He's real quality. free online poker rakeback
ReplyDeleteI don't really care what DM we sign. If we sign one of Melo, Cana, Inler, Toulalan, Matuidi or Mamadou Diarra then we'd be golden for next season. And if a striker leaves (Ade) then replace him (Chamakh?) and if a defender leaves (Toure or Gallas) then replace him too (Zapata). I expect Senderos to leave and well hopefully Silvestre too cause he doesn't really add anything.
ReplyDeleteHilarious rumour that Ribery one. One he wants to go to MAdrid and two we couldn't afford him and hell three we have Arshavin and he's arguably better.
the ribery post seems nonsense because theres no way he'll be sold for 40m or less but the benzema seems more believeable. i wish it happens and i'll gladly sell adebayor if we can bring benzema in, anyone agree?
ReplyDeleteOf the strikers that could replace Ade at Arsenal the best for me would be Dzeko but thats unlikely but between Benzema and Chamakh I'd prefer Benzema but not for more than 28-30 mill cause he's good but not that good and eventually he'll probably want to leave too so maybe Chamakh then.
ReplyDeleteI just hope that the whole selling Adebayor and replacing him saga doesn't disrupt our signing of other targets like another midfielder and or another defender.
Are you kidding me? 30mil for Benzema? We bought Arshavin for 15mil and he's by far the best we've got. Let the ManUres and unREALyties spend that kind of money. Fuck the stars and superstars for that matter. They only bring disorder and corruption to clubs, nothing else. Sell Ade, sell Ade, sell Ade...
ReplyDeleteI have to agree MELO is overrated, his positioning is terrible and I don't think he is such is great tackler...I have to say SONG is better than him..he may be faster and has a bigger body but that is his only advantage on SONG..hope Wenger is not looking his way
ReplyDeleteive watched melo in the confederations cup and have not been overly impressed. he doesn't seem any better than denilson or song. i doubt if he's a target.we could never afford ribery's wages not to mind the transfer fee. benzema seems a possibility if we sell adebayor.maybe thats just wishful thinking though.
ReplyDeletewatched melo in the final today. fantastic performance. not overrated at all, he'd do great at the arsenal!
ReplyDeletenice post
I watched melo a few times.
ReplyDeleteHes decent, but imo hes not much better than song if at all. Perhaps a good signing in the fact you would probably get more games out of him than alex, which does count for a lot (not 15m tho).
Would still Much prefer him to xabi.
He played as the DM against USA and got found out. Good player but not at DM seriously.
its not like he is too slow to play in premier league, in facts there are many other slow defender excel in premier league. its just he too slow for arsenal style of football. with arsenal always looking to control possesion and defend high up the pitch, opposing team would always look to counter attack. so that's where senderos at his weakess. if senderos play for team that like to sit and defend deep, he could be a star.
ReplyDeleteVeloso for DM, Dzeko for ST and we are set for the next 4 years.
ReplyDeleteReckon Melo is not busy enough in midfield for the prem. Still say play Kolo in front of the back 4 in DM role and buy a proper centre half. Stamina problems can be sorted by adjusting team later in games. Ade should not be sold unless we have a replacement striker. Do not believe that Wenger would spend megabucks on Ribery or anyone else.
ReplyDeleteYa anonyomous u're ryt .. Melo is overrated as we found out in the conf cup ..So a cheaper option wud be Cana n he's too gud.. one whom we need at arsenal.. shud get him for 10m..so tats the best thing to happen for us.. Also Hitzpelberger is not bad for 5m i guess considering Melo for 20m .. Ryt guys???
ReplyDeleteMelo is actually a quality player. Take it from someone who's watched him a lot. Would prefer Cana but Melo has been quality in the confed cup and at fiorentina and he has one beast of a shot.
ReplyDeleteDenilson along with Anderson will be the best DM in the world in a few years.
ReplyDeleteya thanks Britzilian .. Anyway lol Melo has extended his contract .. So now Cana is okie for us i guess .. Or Naldo in news recently who can be played in DM n he's 6ft 6 .. n can be Yaya toure of our team!!!

To be a noble benign being is to from a philanthropic of openness to the mankind, an ability to trust undeterminable things beyond your own pilot, that can take you to be shattered in uncommonly exceptional circumstances for which you were not to blame. That says something very important about the fettle of the ethical compulsion: that it is based on a corporation in the fitful and on a willingness to be exposed; it's based on being more like a plant than like a prize, something rather tenuous, but whose very particular beauty is inseparable from that fragility.
