Arsenal and Liverpool show why Michel François Platini can go f**k himself!

Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew! That was a game and half wasn't it?

How the hell have Liverpool fans dealt with two games like that in one week? I tell you this, its 24 hours later and my pulse is still racing faster than Usain Bolt runs.

The point gained for Arsenal should cement at least fourth place in the Premiership for us. You like the way I say 'at least' don't you? I say 'at least' because I still feel Arsenal can leap-frog those arrogant blue bastards down at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool will feel disappointed after dropping more points at Anfield but they still have to believe they can win the league. Arsenal are out of the title race but of those involved I hope Liverpool win it. I know some Gooners will say they don't care because Arsenal aren't involved anymore but I'd much prefer Liverpool to be champs than Manchester United.

That said I was disappointed in Steve Gerrard and Jamie Redknapp. Despite the fact that Arsenal's opener was proved to be on-side by Sky's very own camera's they were insistent it was border-line. I know they are Liverpool boys and all that but come on! It was proved!

I'd still argue that Yossi Benayoun's header wasn't over the line.......... Moving on.

Richard Keys said that Andrei Arshavin was the first opposition player in one million years to score four score at Anfield. I nearly choked on my Lucozade. I was sure Julio Baptista banged in the same amount a couple of years ago. Keys then pointed out that he only meant goals in the league. It was too late by then. I had already smashed the fuck out of my TV. I'm sending the bill in the post.

The two biggest threats of the night were Andrei Arshavin and Fernando Torres. Neither deserved to be on the losing side so maybe justice was done in a strange way. I doubt Liverpool fans will agree.

I must mention that Łukasz Fabiański produced a good performance after the Chelsea game. It was important for him to do well because he took a lot of criticism after the defeat. I hope his performance has helped prove a lot of the doubters wrong. He is only young for a keeper and will only improve.

That game had more high and lows than a kite and both teams deserve a lot of credit for producing a game of football like that. I think its worth pointing out that English football is the only place you will see matches like this. So Michel François Platini, you can go fuck yourself!

It appears that Michel François Platini has a problem with English football, how when it produces games like this I will never know. José Mourinho would have called it a hockey game, well he can fuck himself too!

Keep it Goonerish.............

Was still gutted at the end of the game though -
1. Liverpool mullered us for 90%
2. Why wasn't Arshavin playing at Wembley
3. Our defence is shocking
4. We could've won the league this year if we weren't so shit in the first 3months.
5. 4-4 so what, didn't win, condeded 4, should've lost, gave Chelsea a free pass to the final by picking a terrible midfield.

Not 90%. Only till that useless Denilson went off.

good blog as usual wrighty, for the anon with 5 points yeh liverpool mulerd us but we were also lethal on the break especially when theo came on but we were at anfield with a plastered up defence who half would not have played if we had not had so many defensive injuries, gibbs is only young and had no help at all from silvestre and is not gona get protection from arshavin which i dont mind cos he is quality going forward, ok yes we could have won the league but again we have had injuries to BIG players this season for long periods if liverpool, man u or chelsea had lost as many influential players for a long period of time then im sure they would have done just as bad, we have not lost a prem game for 19 games now which is a great run for any team which we should be encouraged by, and yes also we should have played a full strength team against chelsea and i believe we would have beaten them but arsene has obv done this for a reason wether we like it or not, 3rd place is still reachable (chelsea are at this moment in time drawing with everton) which would mean no qualification games for the CL next season, so lets get behind our team as it could not be as a bad ending as i could have imagined 3 months ago

Good blog. Great game.

I'm a Liverpool fan - we did muller you for most of the game and we let ourselves down with school boy errors leading to the first 3 goals but that's not to take away from Arshavin finishing - he simply lethal 4 shots on target 4 unsavable goals. Outstanding performance - well outstanding display of shooting at least - he was damned near as bad as Denilson for the first 30 mins!

Your first was definitely onside (and I'm not sure Bendtner's wasn't too!) - good awareness from Fabregas and Nasri.

I assume you're joking about Benny's header - you'll be calling it a "ghost" goal next ;-)

Gutted - but wait til nest year! - bet you've never heard a Liverpool say that before?!!

I'm also a Liverpool fan, and thought it was great advert for the Prem. I think a lot of positives can be taken for both sides. Gibbs although ran ragged did a tremendous job for such a daunting game to be involved in. He will never have so tough again. My best memory was Arshavin in a LFC top during the interview, now only if he wore that shirt week in week out lol. LFC once again showed the world that never say die attitude and some tremendous football, Torres and Benayoun terrorised and were a constant threat. It was a fantastic match because two great clubs were a part of it. Oh and thanks for the Justice For The 96 banner. Thankyou.

Arsenal 2009
Attack like the Harlem Globetrotters, defend like the White Horse 2nd eleven on a sunday morning
Please can we have some new, bigger, healthier centre backs for next season....

well wrighty it looks like you may have to endure another trophy less season and watch united walk away with more.
Oh and by the way, is Arshavin cup tied for the CL-semis'? yeah, i think he is. oh well--next year wrighty, but then that's becoming a common theme for arsenal fans. they do play pretty football though :)

You fucking twat. How can write a blog if you're so biased you can't even admit t hat was over the line by 2 feet?

your happy with that performance? To me it asks more questions than it answers. Wenger's team selections being the main one. How Denilson and Bendtner start games is beyond me.

You say Fabianski had a good game. Really?

Still so dissapointed with his team selection from the semi final, this does not paper over the cracks. The defending was some of the worst I have ever seen by any prem league team. Shocking.

Arshavin already a legend, just wish we were in a FA Cup Final. Does Wenger not care ?

whether or not Fabianski played well, you can start the debate.

There is only 1 conclusion for Densilson, a fucking useless player.

joppa..

in all fairness mate... liverpool conceeded four goals too...and they had their first choice back 5......

last night was dissapointing because we nearly knicked it but it has to be said both teams made a fantastic game and a great advert for the PL

those who were at the game definatley got their moneys worth anyway....

i've always believed there can be mutual respect between supporters of different clubs. u've proven that!

although being a Liverpool fan i was tearing my hair and wondering how we let that one slip away, stupid defensive errors were probably made so that the scoreline was fair in the end. neither side deserved to lose and if either defense had been tight, the scoreline wouldn't have been very fair.

please take one more point from mancs! it'd be nice if you could win the champs league too! cheers mate

Did anyone notice Liverpool played only one English player (Carragher). Surprised the usual talksports pundits were quite
