And I thought that the Emirates had no atmosphere!

Many have taken the piss out of the atmosphere at the Emirates in the past. They did about Highbury too. But they can't deny that it wasn't a wall of noise on Saturday against the Spuds!

It was electric and a right smack in the face for those who have a dig about us Gooners being the silent type.

We Gooners were bang up for this game. I had the feeling we were dying to get revenge over that lot down the road because of the way we gave away a 4-2 lead the last time we played them at the home of football.

The noise was more impressive because early kick-offs are well known for lacking in atmosphere mainly due to the fact people aren't drunk and because most are still half-asleep!

Of course games against the Spuds will always get the blood pumping and you are more up for it than most other games but wouldn't it be nice if it was always like this at the Emirates?

As said the place was rocking and if we could get the atmosphere going like this at every game it could create the Emirates into one of the most intimidating stadiums in Europe. Easily.

I'd say that on the road Gooners create as much noise as anyone. If not more. They deserve a lot of credit for that. Lets try and match that commitment at our own home like we did on Saturday and turn the Emirates into a regular hotbed of noise and intimidation.

It was that loud that even Arsene Wenger couldn't get his point across and he threw he jacket in frustration. I'd like to see Le Boss do that more often! In a good way of course!

Keep it Goonerish.................

Been to the Emirates a few times and honestly is been shocking, Highbury was way more noisy... but then again I only went to Highbury during Spurs games and only once against Leeds.

But the away fans are amazing in my opinion, never been to an away game but I really want to, seems everyone is singing and making noise.

At the Emirates people seem to get pissed off if you stand up and sing, and the few that do just get people staring at them or asking them to shut up... you see pockets of good fans here and there, but most people are just sat quietly.

I was there on saturday and even before the game the atmosphere was fantastic. It was difficult to order a pint because of the noise. This carried through the game and then after.

Lets get that noise pumping again tomorrow night!!!

Your right it was a great atmosphere. And funnily enough one of the other games when it was good was against Spurs as well and, yes we beat them 3-0 then as well. Saturday early kick off.

The best I've ever known it; was for the 1st twelve minutes against Man U last season in the champions league semi. Unfortunately it went tits up that night. And I did feel the atmosphere and occasion may have got tp Kieran Gibbs a bit (with his slip).

Big occasions at the Arsenal, the crowd are always up for it. Emirates or Highbury both the same. Its hard for supporters to get into the game, when the opposition are wasting time after 5 minutes.

Away from home the Home team are normally up for the game a bit more, hence our supporters are much more up for it as well...and pissed...of course!

Keep up the good work

until the club stop acting all f***ng pc about standing up,supporting our team & listening to the theatre luvvies complaining, we'll struggle for a regular intimidating atmosphere-it's the price for living in london.however there is hope that because of revised seating to accoodate"the singers"this might change in the next season or so!!
