Perhaps Wenger's petulance is a smart move?

Well that was frustrating! I dunno what would be more frustrating to be honest. Watching that game and being beat 3-0 (again) or having all the Playboy bunnies gyrating naked in front of me, giving me the come-on, whilst having my hands tied behind my back and being blindfolded.

One thing is for certain, and in spite of this defeat being in the Carling Cup, we need to stop this rot quickly. The faster the better and in my eyes, this game against Stoke City at the weekend could be the biggest game in our season. This early!

We need to win, and need to win badly. A much needed win is vital because we have some difficult matches coming up. At the moment, hand on heart, do you fancy these boys going to tough away games at Liverpool and then a freezing Burnley on a Wednesday night and getting wins?

I'm not reading too much into this game tonight but I reckon that the manner of the defeat could be another blow to our confidence. As against Chelsea we rarely threatened to score, again, and I have to say that we are looking short of ideas in attack at the moment.

That's fair enough, you have times when you struggle in front of goal, but our problem is that at the other end we always look like conceding. We are like someone puking and shitting at the same time, suffering at both ends!

Maybe this the reason for Wenger's petulance at the end of the game. I understand that Wenger takes losing about as good as John Terry's mother takes things from M&S but at times he needs to take it on the chin.

Of course he had a barney with Mark Hughes during the game but to walk down the tunnel at the end without shaking hands is a little bit silly. It's silly because it gives twats like Phil Brown and Mark Hughes ammo in the future. Not forgetting the media who will probably have a field day.

Maybe its clever play from Le Boss? Maybe he did this to take the probable media onslaught away from the fact we have lost three in a row and deflect the attention on to him? Could be a smart move.

Keep it Goonerish.................

The attention would be on him anyway, as Wenger has failed.

its jus the league cup, man city went with u full strength team, we need to concentrate on the league, fa cup and champions league, right now though i think we are beginning to realise how important van persie is part of our game. he may not be the biggest guy in the world but he is a much more of a fighter. the season was going from good to great until his injury, lets hope someone can step in quick cos my fear is that our league dreams could be over before it even started, before christmas, could end up as 2 horse race...

But sure who honestly expected to win tonight. We are so predictable, we'll beat Stoke on Saturday and lose to Olmypiackos next week

it was like groundhog chelsea day all over again. same shit tactics, same wankers with different faces making arseholes of themselves at the back, same 1 man lightwieght dwarf up front, same manager living in dreamland like the last days of brian clough with his puppet yes man rice sitting beside him doing fuk all but licking his ass.every fukin year the same. out of the title race by november, kids get wolloped in the carling cup, van percie injured, wenger showing bad sportsmanship and making an ass of himself etc. ffs

Hughes chose to kiss and cuddle his bench before coming to shake Arsene's hand. Arsene usually walks down straight to shake the opposing managers hand. You wouldnt expect him to wait at that point for Hughes

you could be right, wenger always, never fails to deflect attention/negative press away from how his team are performing all to him. He's actually quite good to that.

But it's still stupid and reeks of a sore loser. Where's the sportsmanship. No matter how much of a cunt hughes is you always shake their hand after a game..

Nah, he's just a poor loser, which is no bad thing if you're reguarly winning things, but he's not.

i said to my self before the game that if we loose it wouldn't matter because its only the carling cup. But i cannot help but feel disappointed and betrayed. Citeh fans dont care if we played a young side, they can say they beat us twice. BADLY. It makes other smaller teams not fear arsenal and think they have a chance in winning. Whereas with chelsea, they thrash everyone so when they play smaller teams, they are scared shitless.

Does it really matter if they shake hands or not, I mean why pretend to do something you don't want to do? why be fake for the sake of "correctness" good on Wenger, Hughes is a moron anyway.

He plays his first choice team against an arsenal side with two first team regulars in the line up. And acts as if its the champions league semi fina, that really pissed me off. Dont look too much into todays game everyone, considering it wasnt even the first team.

p.s its also funny watching all the arsene haters appear when something goes bad, i say piss off and maybe we will listed too you when you have the right and expertise to actually criticise someone, let alone wenger.

forget the PL we are not strong enough or aggressive enough we have pint sized players with no natural leaders, Wenger has lost it, we are out of the title race, he will field a young baby side in the FA Cup to try and finish fourth to line the pockets of the board, Wenger is like Caesar, he is out of control and trying to take us down, when will Arsenal fans realise he is not the man to take us forward, he spins after every loss, as soon as we meet an English side in Europe we will be out of it.
No back-bone, no balls, no determination. Time to stop kidding ourselves this Narcissistic man will ruin us, he has taken us from being one of the best sides in Europe to a laughing stock with players who don't like it up 'em. the team is a reflection of Wenger fragility.

What is it about football that makes everyone lose their common sense?

So what if he doesn't shake hands? Why is it even worth discussing? How does not shaking hands affect anything to do with the game itself?

There's no rule or guideline set out by FIFA as far as I'm aware that states players or managers need to shake hands at the final whistle. Does anyone really care? On the grand scheme of things it is probably the least important thing in the world.

I think you give Wenger more credit than is due in this case. I have always been a huge fan of Wenger and what he has done for the club but his current line of petulance and stubbornness is now hurting the club.

Have you ever seen such shocking defending from Arsenal?
- Traore always out of position and has no right foot (even for a simple pass)
- Silvestre hit in the back by a long ball hoof - nuff said on him. Shocking.
- Song didn't know if he was playing in the midfield or CB. Always out of position and looked completely lost.
- Eboue was non-existent... In attack and defense.

I have heard the Arsenal training sessions is like watching a pinball machine with ball flying between players. It is no surprise then that we are great midfield passers but can't shoot or defend. We just don't practice it enough.

We are hemorrhaging goals and don't seem to have any quality coming through in reserves either.

It is time for Wenger to address the glaring deficiencies and stop making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Wenger should go back to France if he doesn't want to abide by our customs of the game. I'm completely embarassed for all fans, staff and players of The Arsenal for his whiny petulance: he is no role model when he behaves like this. Pathetic.

Big deal, fuck hughesy. it's only carling cup and they bring on their first squad against our boys, pathfuckingtetic.
AW said that it is 10 times better playing semi in FA cup and CL and it's true.
Man citeh spend millions and where are they now. money not always buy you success.

i like the idea of having adriano, but why cant we just go for the ultimate brazilian marks man - LUIS FABAINO. except we are too small to think like that.
