Karma Can Be A Bitch!

I'm not sure I believe in Karma. I suppose I do when I've done something wrong and I'm begging for forgiveness but that's a little out of order. Just using really.

I haven't had an epiphany and gone all religious or anything but if Karma is in fact real then I'm hoping that it will be a right bitch for Barcelona Football Club!

The way they have acted this summer has been a diabolical liberty and if anything deserves a slap in the face for their actions it is them.

Even now, after pretty much admitting defeat in their chase for our skipper this summer they are still saying he will be theirs one day.

They have the most outrageous audacity don't they?!

I think Barcelona's tactics in trying to sign Cesc have been scandalous and quite how they haven't been warned for doing so is unreal. It has been the most blatant of tapping-ups and if UEFA or FIFA had any balls then Barca would be reprimanded.

How can Barcelona and Real Madrid get away with this type of thing every summer? Basically they eye-up the target and tap away more than a tap dancer. And they often succeed.

Something needs to be done but it won't be. Unfortunately it appears that the two Spanish giants are above the law.

I think Arsenal need to be praised for how we have dealt with Barca. We have shown our class and in truth shown Barcelona up, portraying how much class they lack.

I hope Fabregas sees Barcelona for what they really stand for now. A bunch of mouthy cunts who don't back up what they started.

Cesc has been left hung to dry in this situation. I feel for him.

I don't think Barcelona really had any intention of putting in a realistic offer for Fabregas this summer because in truth, as daft as it sounds, they don't want him yet. They probably don't need him yet.

All they have done is put the thought in Cescs mind and they didn't have to do that.

Throughout Fabregas' time with Arsenal most of us Gooners have accepted the fact that Cesc would end up back with Barcelona and none of us would have begrudged him the move. Before this summer.

Barcelona didn't have to go through with all the shit they have spouted since the end of last season. He would have signed for them one day anyway.

All they have managed to do is piss Arsenal off, very badly, and any negotiations in the future will now be more tense than bumping into that ex-girlfriend you dumped by text.

I really hope, more than most things to happen, that next season Arsenal win the Champions League by smashing Barcelona in the final and that Real Madrid (hate them a little less than Barcelona) clean up the Spanish honours.

I also hope that Barcelona, with all their money problems, have to have a clear out of their squad and Arsenal sign Pique, Puyol and Xavi.

We wouldn't use them for football. We could torture them.

Before every home game we could hang them from a tree and fire cannon balls at them or worse for Puyol, cut off his hair.

It'll be good if Karma is a bitch for Barcelona in the future and get their comeuppance.

Keep it Goonerish..........

1st good morning

what i think is, that barcelona didn't expect that fabregas would want to move to them this season. Then they were left in situation where they had to bid, but didn't really want to bid as yet. they want him, but on their schedule.

Kirk your having a laugh! The fact is debt-ridden Barcelona have behaved disgracefully with their public and persistent pursuit of our club captain. They should be reported to FIFA for blatant tapping up. I used to respect Barcelona but now I despise and loathe that arrogant club. I hope the 'Special One' sorts them out!!!

Cesc is not leaving now, or ever, as Guardiola is the next Arsenal manager and will be keeping Cesc and bringing Messi with him.

There must be loads of good quality defenders, goalkeepers and defensive midfielders on the market at the moment.Yet Arsenal can’t find any more to sign ? What have our scouts been doing over the last year ? Why do we have seemingly have so much trouble negotiating and completing deals ? We should have COMPLETED our strengthening by now.Instead, not counting the freebie Chamakh, we have only got ONE new recruit so far. Pathetic.
Wenger would have a long mental list of those he wanted before the window opened. This tardy, over cautious approach of his, has led to a squad that is still to be finalised, even though the pre season matches have now ALREADY COMMENCED.So much for having a settled team for the new season.New players need time to settle in and gel together, to play effectively as a collective unit. This is simply poor forward planning.Let’s hope it doesn’ t cost us later.

Karma's a bitch - and so is Puyol.

I thought what Puyol said was probably the most honest assessment we have had so far. Remove the negative feelings towards Barca and their players and there is nothing that Puyol said that can be disagreed with. Fabregas must have told those players he wants to join Barca. They are all saying it from the squad. He also said that Fabregas is behaving like a professional which he is. He also said Arsenal are taking advantage of it which they are. As for saying he is the future of Barcelona, well that much is obvious but I feel the move come next year. This seems very coordinated from both sides. Arsenal look like the defiant hard done by club in front of their supports and Barcelona appear like they were left with no alternative but to wait another year to get him for a reduced fee. Probably around 50M. I think Arsene has told Cesc that he will grant his wish but next year.

Following the disgraceful conduct of Barcacuntulunya, their media puppets and their idiotic players this summer, The Mighty Arsenal will NEVER do business directly with that "more than a joke" club. The banner at Barnet yesterday says it all. FUCK OFF BARCA. That includes every single year until, The Mighty Arsenal, not barca, decide to sell. Jaygooner

I just had a great idea. How about the Arsenal players force a Barcelona top on Almunia or Denilson!

LOL??

he asked to leave m8... and said so public as well... he is our captain.... he has 23 years left on his contract....

-God we just dont expect anything from servants of AFC anymore.

I've got to admit that Cesc has asked for the move himself, we can't deny that.

However, that doesn't in any way, shape or form excuse the behaviour of those scummy bastards over in Catalonia.

They have shown Arsenal zero respect and I'm pleased we've taken a tough stance with them - shows them for the grubby, unscrupulous, dirty fucking arseholes they are.

Cesc is a real gun and will continue to develop into one of the all time greats. (in the same vein as Henry) For the moment he is Arsenal's captain and I personally think he will be at Arsenal for the 2010/11 season. With 5 years left on his contract Arsenal have very little to lose and everything to gain by not selling. (his value will not go down)
David Villa was sold because the club was financially precarious and managed to get from Barca a great winfall. Nothing short of 50m+ will do for Cesc when he does leave.

As far as Barca's behaviour, I blame Fifa and Uefa for putting Tapping up rules in place and failing to enforce them vigorously. Furthermore I also blame Cesc in all this because some of his comments failed to put an end to the speculation. Cesc supposedly discussed his future with Wenger before the WC, so IMO all of Cesc's comments to the media ought to been as follows.........

" I am a proud Arsenal player and captain. Arsenal FC is a great club and I am very honored to be there. If and when I decide to leave this great club I would prefer to go back to Barcelona. Right now I have 5 years still left on my contract with the Arsenal Football Club and I look forward to our first game against Liverpool."

By Cesc not saying this he has failed to put an end to the speculation, and even if he is wanting to go back to Barca, it has put him in a bad situation. If Barca cannot come up with the amount of cash necessary to buy him, he must face the Arsenal FC, his collegues and supporters. By failing to take the morally high road and as the captain, he has lowered the level respect he once commanded with our club.

I know you are only 23yo, but on this very difficult matter, you have been poorly advised on how to behave publically, son.

Good post Wrightly. I also believe that if a English Club were to behave in the manner as the Barca players, then FIFA and Platini would be hot on their case. Cesc wont see Barca for who they are, he is considered part of the family and as such wont open his eyes to see the reality.
