EVERYONE needs to learn the lessons of last season/summer

Its fair to say that this summer hasn't been the most stable at Arsenal. We've had key players of last season leave the squad and there is still uncertainty amongst some of the remaining players at Le Bosses disposal.

However the season is just around the corner and is drawing closer as we speak. Arsenal have been written off by most already. I'm not prepared to write Arsenal off.

Remember last summer? We were in apparent turmoil after the sale of Thierry Henry and were set to be replaced by the mugs down the road in the elite top four. It didn't happen, far from it in fact.

We launched an unexpected title assault that only crumbled in the last couple of months. We were so nearly there and I expect to be involved in the title race this season.

The squad is young, but is another year older and wiser. Last season's disappointments should give the players that extra hunger too.

I think we can win it, but only with a couple of players added to the squad. This is where Le Boss needs to learn from last season.

Last season we came unstuck because the squad was not strong enough in depth. We've lost some numbers that need replacing. I hope Wenger realises this (it seems he does) and rectifies it.

I think he will. I don't think our summer transfer activities are over yet and I imagine we will see the desired faces to freshen the squad.

The media need to learn to fuck off. Their constant articles about "Arsenal in crisis" are forever being printed. I've two words for them DO ONE. We are not the media darlings that Manchester United are because of jealousy. Plain and simple.

I need to learn at times to calm down and think before I write. Regular readers of my blog know I'm an emotional guy when it comes to Arsenal. Arsenal is my Achilles heel. Call me a cunt and I'm fine, but diss my beloved Arsenal and I'm a different animal.

I know there are Arsenal blogs out there that are better and that are written better than mine, but I write with my heart and always say what I think is best for Arsenal (in my mind anyway!)

The bottom line is this: Arsenal WILL win something this season as long as Le Boss signs a couple of players in key positions (centre midfield and centre back) The media can jog on, and I'm gonna calm down!

That's the lesson of the day!

Keep it Goonerish...........

"another year older, another year wiser" Problem is how many will there be left to be "wiser" for us and not for others?

I fucking hope we win something this season. This might be Fabregas last season if he hasn't been misquoted.

Top piece Wrighty, dont you change. Stay how you are mate.

This article is correct in many ways and I hope Arsene Wenger does realise that the squad is too small.

My only fear is he is too stubborn so you are right to say he needs to learn from last season's mistakes and make those signings!

Quality post mate.

Like I said on another blog - has anyone heard Cesc come out with this, because it doesn't sound like him at all.

Well Said Wrighty keep up the belief. I firmly believe it'll be our season this season, Signings pending, cause football comes and goes in cycles and a lot of our young players will be better this season. Mark my words.

The quotes from 'cesc' are from the shiit hole newspaper marca, who you all know lick the fekin arses of madrid and barca!!!!!!!!!! Am sure cesc will go but nt next season nor thiis season he'll go when he has become a legend like henry!! i hope so anyway!!

Cesc will be at Arsenal for as long as Wenger is.....

I think Cesc said those things. He has that winning feeling now, he doesn't want to loose it. I think he is trying to kick Wenger in the ass a bit, because he wants to win at Arsenal and he knows that the squad at the moment won't do that. For all we say about last season, let's not forget the fact that we won fuck all. Forget about almost, we won nothing. Do you honestly feel we have a stronger team than last year right now???

Cesc knows we need expierence and I think he is publicly blackmailing Wenger into buying expiernenced players.

We all know Cesc will leave Arsenal one day and that he wants a move back to spain and he dosent want to close any doors at this stage. But he will only leave when hes an Arsenal legend.

I also don't he should be issuing ultimatams like this, he hasnt actually helped Arsenal win anything, yes hes a fantastic player but he hasnt hepled Arsenal win anything since the FA Cup in 2005. But then again these quotes can be taken with a oinch of salt, Marca is madrids bitch!

Anon at 20.37 - given that it is Marca, I'll also take these comments with a pinch of salt. However, if Cesc is trying to blackmail Wenger into buying 'experience' I will not be too impressed with him. He has personally benefited from Arsene's policy and as a result he is now that experienced player who can make a difference in the game. So it's time to step up and stop looking to someone else to do it. Arsene is not the only one who is responsible for us not winning anything last season. Players ought to start looking at themselves and accepting that they have some responsibility in this as well. They are the ones on the pitch and they have to take responsibility for when it goes wrong as well as when it goes right.

the fact is that at the momemt the squad is weaker than at the end of last season, when we won nothing. There are gaps all over this team and Wenger is either to obsessed with with youth or does not have the money to buy. As it stands this team will not win anything this season.

martin keown recently stated 'wenger has a production line of players year after year' and feels that wenger will get it right. this analysis is incomplete if you consider our production line ends up a factory for other clubs. it's not that our youth policy is wrong it's just over-emphasized. why are we all so excited about the young guns? is it that we don't find the starting xi that interesting or promising, hmm. to my view, the only thing that can save THIS SEASON and so we can win anything THIS SEASON are three signings of the highest quality, a dm, rm, and high quality utility. with current projected squad i expect a strong start to the season, amazing style and class football, and a blank for trophies. it's a long season, expect injuries, are our backups on a par with chels, pool and manu,.. not. if spuds don't lose berba and keane there might be trouble, they've strengthened there's no denying. sure, there's time in the window, but do we want to risk a bad start to the campaign ala' two years ago? wenger's judgement is sound and i'm sure he and his scouts have spotted the goods but our outright trepitation in the market is troubling, something may not be quite right with afc's finances. wenger has spent big for proven class before, and if he can't spend big now when the team sorely needs it, something about our current situation just doesn't make sense. heading into the start of the campaign with an average age of 22(not counting gallas who is about 12 years old), could be seen as reckless yet i sense arsene is quite calm which may mean something is in the works. as for cesc, if the club can survive without bergsi, vieira, and titi, we'll survive without cesc, but mark my words he won't leave until his mid 20's. he knows afc is the place to be, he just wants to win. as smooth as wenger is, it's hard to know what's up his sleeves, he's either hot on the case, or, as one blogger aptly stated 'we're fooked'. and i'm gonna go even further out on a limb, the targets i would buy are silva, arshavin(who i've said some things about before which were'nt nice but that was mostly my own frustration), and finally a monster dm. now, i don't expect a poor season, i expect it should be quite fun, i'm just not expecting to put any bubbly on ice at the end of the season.
