This bloke Arshavin dreams a huge amount doesn't he? Only a couple of weeks ago he dreamed of a move to Barcelona. He wants to cut down on the cheese before bedtime.
It seemed that the whole of Europe were chasing him, now it is revealed not one solid offer has been put forward for the Russian.
He is a good player though and one I'd like to see at Arsenal. He has said he wants to play for us, and thats good enough for me.
PS- Whats the betting if Arsenal don't make an offer, then he will be dreaming of someone else?

I'm not sure Arshavin is the player he's being made out to be. He had a couple of great games during Euro 2008, but faded towards the end. There are certainly question marks over his stamina/fitness, a vital quality to be a success in the Premiership.
We need a centre back and a defensive midfielder, maybe a striker if Ade goes. What ever happened to that Bischoff deal? Have you heard anything Wrighty?

I know it's off topic slightly, but does anybody agree with the following:
Barcelona clearly want Ade and Hleb, two decent players both under contact to us for a few years yet. I personally don't mind if both leave, Ade had a good season, but Hleb just annoys me with his fear of shooting. I wish Wenger would stick to his guns and tell them they can't have them unless we get Yaya and/or Eto'o in exchange.
Don't get me wrong, I think Wenger is great, but I am tired of other teams taking our best players. Yet when we ask for their players we seem happy enough to settle for their refusals. Yaya would be the perfect replacement for Flamini, he was one of the few Barca players to have a decent season last year. As for Eto'o, I personally think he is better than Ade, and whilst he is older he's only 27, the perfect age to fit in with the younger players we already have.
What do my fellow Gooners think?

Hello Gooners, I don't understand why Gunner faithfuls are mad with Ade and Hleb. If clubs and coaches can dispense players (Ronaldinho, Eto, etc) even when they are nder contract because they are according to them (they are surplus to requirement, why can't a player under contract decide to go if he thinks he is surplus to requirement. Why do we say Ade and Hleb are disloyal? Please let's be realistic, if they are not performing, we will call for them to be axed (like some are calling for Eboue and senderos: both still under contracts). Ade and Hleb are still very good in my opinion. If Ade can score 30, let's increase his weekly wage and motivate him the more.
