JUSTIN HOYTE IS A STAR, A PROPER LOYAL GOONER

Justin Hoyte isn't the type of player who will get the mouth watering. He isn't a superstar and he isn't even a first team regular at Arsenal but there is one thing he will give you, loyalty.

I've banged on about loyalty in droves lately, mainly due to the fact that some of our players haven't really shown any to the club. Hoyte is different, a local lad who REALLY does love the club.

Hoyte is at the stage of his career where he finds himself at a crossroads in many ways. He is 23 and he will find it hard to oust Sagna as the number one right back at Arsenal. But I admire his dogged determination to try and I admire his loyalty to Arsenal even more.

People may feel that he shows a lack of ambition in staying at Arsenal when he probably could be number one right back at a team with a lower standard, but for me any player who commits himself to the Arsenal cause is worth his weight in gold.

I feel we should applaud Justin for his commitment to the club, players in this day and age are proving hard to find who will stick around for the cause. Justin is certainly one of them.

I'm sure Justin would like more games for his beloved Arsenal and could get them elsewhere, but wouldn't he rather be a small part of something great at a club he loves or be at a club where he gets more games but never competes for trophies?

Justin, I applaud your loyalty to Arsenal and your determination to fight for a place in the Arsenal side. People like you are undervalued, and who else in the squad keeps Sagna on his toes?

Well done Justin, and good luck for the season ahead.

Keep it Goonerish..........

He is just too rubbish to challenge himself. As one other blogger said, I have more respect for Diarra because at least he went for it. Justin is just a wimp.

Yeh i agree i see some other arsenal website was having a go at Hoyte saying he should leave and show some ambition/ he aint gd enough, which i thought was harsh as i think he a good player but just hasnt played enough games for us. A year ago he was playin well some fans are stupid. He loyal also unlike of players we have had and got now. Fabregas is the main man. Ade Helb you can go dnt care now, they lake respect.

"HILARIOUS THAT n17 R CRAP!"

lol it's true he is really loyal but he's a shit player - his brother is too badd though!

@ the guy @ 17.19 - you are clearly retarded. You have more respect for a mercenary, pussy who won't stay and challenge for a place than for a local lad who'll stay at his club for the passion?

Slide on.

True he isn't the best but you can't buy loyalty like his.

Good luck Justin

You need players like Jutin Hoyte in the squad. Look at Wes Brown, never played for years at United and was an underated sqaud player, now he is Englands number 1 right back. Arsenal could do worse.

Anonymous said...

Yes, good luck Justin. Fail dismally at Arsenal, never move to a decent club. Earn mediocre wages and have no pleasure in your footballing life.

Brown - "Englands number 1 right back"?????

problem is that Arsenal dont show loyalty to players themselvies, as soon as the boss believes a players worth it up he sells them, or only gives 30+ players a one year contract.

A 27 year old player sees this and must be thinking, do I stay and get treated like that or do I move now and try and get into a club like Milan/Barca etc etc...

Anonymous said...

hes taking 5000 a week never going to be good enough should move on but he won't get 5-thou per week elsewhere that's not loyalty drop his wages he will soon move on

you won't win the league with just mercenary players you do need the hoytes parlours even pat rices of this world comitted to the cause, diarra went because he did'nt have the bottle to fight for he's place justin would be playing very week at pompey

Anonymous said...

Why would he leave Arsenal. He is a bag of crap not good enough for Arsenal yet he is still here. If he left Arsenal he'd end up at Stevenage Borough.

ive known justin since he was 4 Years old, he played in the park and at school with my boys and he still goes to watch all the local football. 2 things to say

1. He loves Arsenal, his 1st game was when platty scored to beat Man Utd 3-2, he stood on his seat singing at the top of his voice, his ambition was to play at the new stadium and then to play in the 1st team with his brother

2. He made that fat c**t huddlestone look an idiot in the Sunday papers

You all sound hard on the lad. who knows he can have a great season like Flamini had after his breakthrough.
Watch out for him this season. i really rate him.

Thanks wrighty

how old was Db before he left. the point is if you are still good at the age of 30 you wont be sold everyplayer coming to arsenal should know they have to work hard to still be in the team. if justin was not good enough he would have been sold,or ship out on loan whats the point of keeping a player who is not productive. so people arsene knows.

Top post Wrighty7,

Hoyte may not be like Sagna but you need his type in a squad.

Who would you rather have, Hoyte (loyal, loves Arsenal)

OR

Ade and Hleb (money grabbing cunts)

I know my anwser.

Good luck Justin for the Gunners

Arsene knows

He is very underrated by many, including Arsenal fans. Most people point to the United game in the FA Cup, yes he played terribly, but he had made a handful of appearences all season and then he was just chucked in against Man Utd. You can't judge him on that. He seems to be a bit temperamental at times, but I think he has great potential. I don't understand how staying shows lack of ambition. It shows that he has ambition - he wants to break into the 1st team at Arsenal rather than walk into a mediocre Premiership side, for me that shows that he has ambition rather than a lack of it. Hope he has a good season, he deserves it.

Crap players are always loyal, we didnt hear a peep from flamini wanting to leave until he had one good season hoyte is shite end of

Good post

Justin is a good mate of mine. At least he loves the club not his wallet. Which is too rare nowadays. He lives and breathes Arsenal and is an excellent back up to Sagna. Good squad player. Doesnt take too much of a salary and provides good depth, which is what most of the time we are criticised for.

Anon 18:50,

Give my regards to Justin and let him that he is valued at the club.
Tell him good luck for the season ahead!

justine is a fine player..he still has room to improve and could step his game up to regained the right back position someday. WENGER trust him..I trust him too, you can all piss your lil counts off

GET RID OF EBOUE, MOVE SAGNA TO RM, AND HOYTE TO RB

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Stupidest Arsenal fan ever!

Hoyte would have done what Ashley Cole and Bentley did if he was good enough. He is no different from all other money grabing footballers. He is just crap. He hasn't got the confidence that he will cut it elsewhere.
At 23, he should show some ambitions.
Wrighty7, I think you've got this one wrong. he is as useless as RVP and Rosicky who pass more time on hospital treatment than on football pitch; that doesn't do any good to the club that have pay det.

Wes Brown England's number 1 right back, no wonder we didn't qualify, what a joke that palyer really is

I can't believe how ungrateful some of you lot are. Justin Hoyte is a good steady pro who would be 1st choice in at least half of the other teams in the premiership. Martin O'Neil bid for him about a year ago and is rumoured to be weighing up another bid. He would be welcomed at Villa Park with open arms. I like Arsenal but like some of the other top teams I do find myself getting annoyed at some fans who are totally unreasonable. Hoyte has made nearly 50 first team appearances so its not like he never plays. Loyalty in football is nearly dead so people like Hoyte should be congratulated and when if he does leave in a few years as his appearances have been restricted, no one can point the finger at him for jumping ship. I for one think he'll go on to be a steady player who will one day be on the fringes of the England squad, exactly what I said about Stephen Warnock when he left Liverpool for Blacbburn. People said I was mad then but we'll see :)

Anonymous said...

The thing about JHoyte is that he is a limited player and realises that (Part of the worst Sunderland team ever?) he knows that he is riding his luck by even being considered at a club like Arsenal so he will never demand first team football, more money etc.

I like the lad and admire his apparent commitment but he really isn't good enough for a side challenging for honours. If he left, he'd fall right through the leagues.

if justin really that crap then wenger would have sell him long time ago. i think his progress just slower than most player. but he got the determination to do well for arsenal. he play for arsenal because he loves arsenal. just give him more time and chances, later he might come good.

Anonymous said...

This article is too stupid for words. He's too rubbish to play for another Premier league club, so he's better off staying with us.

He's the "bad player" Wenger talked about :)

Anonymous said...

cant be bothered to read all these posts

but players like Hoyte are invaluable to teams - not as technically gifted as a lot of the squad but work rate and commitment make up for that.

Top sides need players like that, Man U are probably the best example with players like O'Shea, Fletcher and Park

cuntchops

Are we going to segregate the squad into "loyal" and "disloyal" gooners now? Come on. Hoyte's been brought up with the club and loves it to bits. You can't expect a player who's been bought from somewhere else to have that intimate connection.

Moreover, Hoyte's not talented enough to play for a really, really good side, and is therefore happy to play a bit part at a club he loves. It's his choice; but it's not really something we should be banging the drum about. Is he really more virtuous than a Bentley or a Sidwell, who're willing to leave to play a meaningful role in a mid-table side?

ok...... Why is everyone making such a hugh fuss.

Hoyte is ok, his good enough to play at any club. His just not spectacular. Thats what you guys want. We cannot have 11 Cesc'c at the club. That will mean we would be classed with the likes of "Real". And come on, they have so many stars and yet they dont win their league and champions league in succession.

Hoyte adds a different dynamic to the gunners. Thats what makes him so good. And he is still developing.

On a whole dont critisize him, because if he becomes really good, you will be chanting his name.....just like a Manu hipocrite.

Wrightly, this was a good positive peice, thanks. i am sick of the negative gooners out there. GoonerG
