Bring back God!

I've never been very religious but I do believe in God. In fact I've seen him. He wore an Arsenal shirt for 11 years.

His name is Dennis Nicolaas Maria Bergkamp and he is Dutch. The Ice-man. And I loved him like family.

The man was, and is, an absolute Arsenal legend and I want him back at the club.

How good would it be to bring Dennis back as a coach? Not as a coach who ferry's the players to away games but a REAL footballing coach who actually coaches the players and passes on his superior knowledge.

I couldn't think of a better being to inspire our strikers than him. An actual God. It's quite frightening.

Maybe we could do with a little shake up behind the scenes to freshen things up at the club.

While I'm on the subject of bringing God back, why not Martin Keown too? He'd certainly add some bite to the defensive side of coaching. He did it before.

I'd also like to see Steve Bould given a promotion to the first team set-up. He has done an incredible job for the under-18's and I wouldn't rule him out of the running as a man who could actually replace Arsene Wenger one day.

Mark my words!

Keep it Goonerish.............

I would like to know the odds of Steve Bould taking over from Wenger after Wenger leads us to a hatrick of Champs League Final wins and retires in glory.

20 years on to the day of Arsenals greateset victory Bouldy leads us to glory in the FA Youth Cup.

Bergkamp will be back. A true legend just like Wrighty!

Joppa,

Are you calling me a Legend?

Congrats to the 'youts!

Stevie Bould has got to be looking to get involved with the 1st team, sooner rather than later, IMO. Nothing against Ricey, but it may well be time he moved on...

I've been thinking the same thing all season - Nothing would please me more than seeing DB10 brought in & groomed to be our next manager. The problem is that Dennis has a brain & our esteemed leader wouldn't enjoy working with someone who has a strong and independent mind. Shame - it's exactly what we need!

You start the petition & I'll be the first to sign it.

haha...you know which Wrighty I meant but Bould is a god. I loved him as a player and good to see him doing well now with the youth team.

Hey Wrighty (and all Gunners)....

Check out the vid I have put up on my blog 20 years to the day. Still amazing and probably Arsenal's greatest ever victory.

Steve Bould for next manager of Arsenal, yes in deed, he needs to be promoted to the number two and leave coaching the kids to DB10 and when Arsene hangs up his whistle and clip board become the number two to Steve Bould.

running the youth setup has to be very different from running the first team
bould has done a 1st class job and i wouldnt want him to switch positions presonally - hes ensuring the arsenal future stays bright

Keown was responsible for coaching the back line a few years ago when we kept a 7 game clean sheet in the CL before losing to Barca. At that time he was doing an internship to assist with his coaching license.

Apparently, he and Arsene did not see eye to eye on certain things.

Why do you guys think Bould is solely responsible for this triumph. are you guys forgetting the legend we have in charge of our academy program... Liam Brady ffs.

The greatest defeat Arsenal ever endured was God hanging up his boots.

Joppa Road said...

Kiwi....no one is running Brady down. We all know what he has done behind the scenes - yet another legend.

According to reports in Italy, AC Milan will sign Emmanuel Adebayor for £24m plus France Under-21 international Yoann Gourcuff.

Berkamp as striker's coach could do wonders for Arsenal. It would definately take the likes of Walcott, Bendtner, Vela etc to an even higher and frightening level. Van Persie and Eduardo will always have good advice to listen to. Besides selling Ade and buying an experienced DM and a strong CB, getting Bergkamp on the coaching staff would be the best decision Wenger could make for Arsenal future.
Yes, bring back GOD!!!
