Arshavin is a class player and I'd love to see him in an Arsenal shirt but that's for another day.
Tonight though I hail the little maestro midfielder Cesc Fabregas AGAIN! My blog is fast becoming the unofficial Cesc Fabregas fan club.
He put in another top class performance again tonight and really seemed to make the Spanish tick. Cesc is pushing hard for a start in the final against Germany and I feel that he deserves to be given his chance in the starting eleven.
I'm looking forward to that game. Spain are playing great football and the second half showing they produced was superb. They dismantled the Russians and Cesc was at the heart of everything.
There is no better player than Cesc in the world at releasing the ball at the right time. He is such a clever player and picks the right pass every time. His influence on Spain is growing, almost to the extent of the influence he has at Arsenal.
He has had a great tournament so far. All the talk was about Torres and Villa, well now the Spanish have a new hero to look to as well as those two. Cesc Fabregas.
Good luck in the final Cesc and Spain.

Fabregas should start, Villa is out injured for the final and I dont see Aragones starting Guiza with Cesc's masterclass
Have to say he was awesome tonight. Completely ran the show and his calmness transmitted to all the other Spanish players around him. By the end of the game they were playing just like Arsenal!
Surely on this form the best creative midfielder in the world right now.
He was better for spain tonight then he has been for us for the last 6 months of the season.
Mixed emotions for me tonite; one side dead happy for cesc, the other, I've lost my bet now! As I had Russia to win the whoile thing at 25-1!

Every game he's come on, he's changed the whole style of the game. Spain are more fluent when he's on. Just a top, top class player. Hope he stays at Arsenal for as long as possible on this form.
I think the headline says it all especially as we've been linked with every clas player at Euro08.

There was a moment after Guiza scored and Silva, Cesc and Silva were hugging each other and I thought to myself this could be a new Arsenal Trio....
What is WRONG with Aragones keeping cesc on the bench? He is by far thair better player throughout the tournament. Yet, Torres starts every game - the biggest disappointment of the tournament?
