Cesc could become Mr Arsenal

Cesc Fabregas has had a superb Euro 2008 and his reputation has risen to unspeakable heights. Anyone who had doubts about his ability can now see the reason why we Gooners rave about him all the time. He is quite simply put, an amazing player, and the best thing is, he can only get better.

He is a winner and no doubt winning the Euro 2008 trophy with Spain will only make him more determined to win silverware with Arsenal. The influence he had on the Spanish side was clear, he ran the game for them like he does for Arsenal, week in, week out.

He could become Mr Arsenal like his predecessors before him namely Vieira, Henry and even the great Tony Adams. He loves Arsenal and has grown from a young boy to a man with the club.

I honestly felt that one day Cesc would be leaving us for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Now I could see Cesc staying at Arsenal for the remainder of his career providing we win trophies and are always competing for them. He then would have no reason for leaving the Arsenal and could be become a true Arsenal legend in the mould of Bergkamp, Wright, Henry, Brady, George etc.

He has the world at his feet and has a true affinity with Arsenal. He shows passion for the badge and when he kisses it you know he means it. He conducts himself with a maturity beyond his age and is a real example to other youngsters who are trying to make it in the game.

He has all the ingredients to become an Arsenal legend. He must be the favourite to become the next Arsenal captain and lead Arsenal into the next decade with a barrage of trophies. Quite simply, Cesc Fabregas WILL become Mr Arsenal.

Keep it Goonerish......

I'd love to see it happen, he should be vice captain this season and full captain next.

However, football is 99% a money game now, so he could do a Hleb or an Adebayor and we should'nt be surprised. But at least he sounds more down to earth than those mentioned.

Cesc is pure class! Love the guy. My only issue is that I think his future is pretty much linked with Arsene Wenger more than Arsenal the club. If Wenger was to leave or when his contract runs out then I cannot imagine Cesc staying at our club if the manager does not.

However, would I be against the short term option of him captain?

Hell no!

After me.. 'We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas, We got Cesc Fabregas'.. repeat until fade

See this is the kind of positive post that gives your site a decent rating, not the sensationalist and frankly annoying crap sites like le-kinder who are prone to publish speculation as fact.

Good sensible post.

Just dont go changing your stance when Cesc wants to leave...love him to bits but a move to Spain, especially after a major tournament where he enhances his rep (not this one, maybe 2010, 2012 or even 2016) seems inevitable.

In the meantime, we should cherish him because he will lead us to trophies next year. Hleb and Adebayor will be 50% of what they are for us without Cesc to knit things together

I hope he'll win tons of trophies with us in the coming years, and then join a Spainish side for a record-breaking fee = ) It's his dream to finish his career in his homeland, afterall.

fantastic little guy who runs the midfield like a general. Fast becoming a legend for us. Smart, confident, not swayed by money and independent which means he could stay at our club for most of his career.
