Watching Theo get kicked about like a rag-doll last night was hard on the eyes.
It looked like a school bully picking on the younger kid but Theo will have to be prepared to face this sort of punishment in most games now.
He is a marked man. His hat-trick for England will have raised his profile and teams realise to stop him they may have to kick him. It could be the only way.
Theo will have to work out the answers to this punishment. He is smart enough but he will also need protection from the ref's as well.
It wont easy for Theo to have lumps kicked out of him but he must learn to deal with it. It wont be easy.
Maybe he should get on the phone to his mentor Thierry Henry. I'm sure he took the rough stuff early in his career. And let's be honest, who around has the explosive pace of Theo?
Only Henry DID have so Theo could learn a lot from how Thierry dealt with it. I'm sure Titi being the legend that he is would be happy to help.
Keep it Goonerish............

Hi wrighty7
do you remember that great Henry goal where he danced around the spuds players and nestled it into the bottom corner at whl? That was world class. But the celebration was better, seeing all of those ugly spurs fans baying for him!!!
Great players bring fond memories...
Absolute bliss!
walcott may have been kicked around but I thought he had a good game all the same that goal came from a low cross from him. I wasn't sure if he miss hit it at first but I suspect he meant it to be low because every other cross in the air was cleared. I think it caught them by surprise.
Sorry to change subject but about gallas, people said get rid of him but once again he scored a vital goal for us. That goal could be what puts us through to second round.
Van Persie, that game wernt @ Shite Hart Lane, it was @ Highbury, & he celebrated infront of th away fans (the scum)! got that poster on my wall! Thierry's my hero & my God lol! CUMMON U ARSENAL!
walcott is no reyes... doubt he'll shy away and want to be whisk away to sunny Spain. his time in the lower leagues will have helped him toughen up for the treatment he's about to get from defenders everywhere.
about gallas, people said get rid of him but once again he scored a vital goal for us
it was gallas poor handling of a high ball that cost us a penalty so him scoring just made up for his mistake in my opinion
Firstly Walcott is more an Ian Wright style player, not an Henrieusque attacker. He doesn't have the physical stature of EA sports or TH14. So he is just going to have to be quicker and smarter. Again as T-Dub said he is only 19 TH14 was 22 when he arrived at the Highbury. I feel what you're saying Wrighty about the physical side of the game, but it won't help T-dub to try and bulk up and become a Taylor a la Birmingham City. Patience is the only thing that will help the kid. Next season he'll score 27+ goals, I am sure of it.
he needs to toughen his image up all round, this queer nice boy look is not a good one
I mean I don't want him to be a wannabe rude boy like Aaron Lennon
but he needs to be a little bit meaner himself, he wont be able to physically impose himself like Henry because he'll never have the same frame, so he needs to man up a bit.
being one of these players who just keeps running however many times you kick him is admirable, but in the end it will be one kick too many
cuntchops
the difference being that theo's english so the premiership refs will protect him unlike tel, bobby, reyes etc.
firstly, great post wrighty.Theo walcott is not like henry, they are both different types of player, but can both produce moments of sheer class. When i used to watch titi play for gooners i was often surpraised by the amount of respect he got from other players out on the pitch.i know he's a legend, but you never really saw players set out to kick him, because henry would humilate them later in the game, walcott is going to recieve differing treatment.lenon is from chapel town rooney is from croxteeth henry is from a part of paris you would'nt send your worst enemy to walcott is from newbury.case closed!
to the person who said that gallas poor handling of a high ball that cost us a penalty. What cost us a penalty was Vukojevic dragging down Sagna. The vital goal gallas scored was just one of many that he has scored since becomming captain.
Again, sorry for the change of subject.
