Carlos Vela can smash Pompey to bits!

There has to be a time when Carlos Vela is let loose on the Premiership and today should be that day.

Pompey come to the Emirates after being battered at home by West Ham and should be there for the taking.

I'd start Vela on the left and Nasri on the right and really take the game to Portsmouth.

Carlos Vela played in Spain for 3 seasons on the left wing and absolutely destroyed Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid in one game. That is no mean feat.

Vela has been slowly acclimatised to the Premiership by Wenger, used sparingly. Now is the time to begin to play him.

I love to watch Vela as he plays with a smile on his face and I have no doubt that he will become a great player. Maybe one of the best in the world.

Pompey coming to the Emirates brings the return of an Arsenal legend, Tony Adams.

I hope he gets the chance to continue his job at Pompey and I hope he does well because of who he is.

I also like Portsmouth and the Pompey faithful, who I believe, aside from Gooners of course, are the best fans in the Premiership.

But I still want Arsenal to smash Portsmouth regardless of Tony Adams or the Pompey crowd!

I really believe we could be about to embark on a long unbeaten run soon. Its got to happen at some stage of the season and a big win today could spark our season back into life!

Also keep an eye on Distin, have a feeling he maybe a Gunner in January!

Arsenal 3-0 Portsmouth

Keep it Goonerish.............

I'd love to see Carlos play today but there is no way he will. Ade and RvP will start up front and I don't see Wenger moving around the midfield. Eboue will again start on the right and Nasri will start on the left...
Almunia
Sagna gallas djourou clichy
eboue denilson diaby nasri
adebayor van persie

i love to see play alot more often myself but knowing and protective he on his players who will bring him in gradualy, and play in the fa cup matches and a few prem matches,it would good idie to play on the wing if nasri gets injured.but this is must win not evon a draw will do

Wrighty, we all wants to see Vela play but i doubt it. Le Boss would probably put Eboue instead of him.
As for the score i think it's going to be either 1-0 or 2-1 to Arsenal.

We all wish for vela

wenger will probably play eboue and diaby on the wing,

or even clichy.

Wenger's famous pecking order guarentee's Vela won't start on the left wing or up front in the premier league unless theres a fair few more injuries.
With Wengers recent inclusion of 'seniority' in the pecking order don't be suprised to see Silvestre getting the left wing berth ahead of him.

he wont play vela.. he'll play diaby on the left and nasri on the right, he'l then play ramsey an denilson in midfield (bear in mind he will never play diaby in his natural position)

I said the same thing yesterday!

He changed the game when he came on, he should not get a few starts on the left of midfield.

You bunch of sycophantic, bleating idiots! Get a clue. Wenger is doing what top managers all do when things are tough...he is placing all the pressure on HIMSELF and making himself the target of all the predictable abuse and brain dead, partisan, demagogues that pass for punditry in this quaint little region.

Sir Alex does it, Jose did it, and Wenger has always done it as well. Do you think he does not know the media's rather overt, niggling questions and how things will be spun? The man may be many things, but thick he is not.

He's very clever and knows exactly how things will play in the press and among the chattering, knuckle-dragging universe of supporters. He is club first and makes himself the target to take the pressure off the players. But nobody considers that at all. I wonder why? Could it be you fall for it every time like the reactionary, Pavlovian dogs you are?
