I'D STILL RATHER BE A GOONER THAN A SPUD!!!!!

OK its happened. The Spud's have finally beaten us. It's only taken 21 games but I suppose the run had to end some day. Over the two legs of the Fizzy Pop Cup, the Spuds deserved to go through. It seemed to me the Spud players wanted it more. But then playing Arsenal is Tottenham's season. If they had a choice of just narrowly avoiding relegation and doing the double over Arsenal OR winning the league, they would choose the former every time.

You could see how much it meant to the Spud's players by the way they reacted at the final whistle. Admittedly it was the first time they had beaten us in 21 attempts and it was the Fizzy Pop Cup semi-final, but they were dancing around like they had won the damn thing! What they must remember is that they haven't won it yet, and if they fall flat on their faces in the final then all that dancing around will make them look pretty silly!

Let's get things in perspective here; Despite Spud's "Superb" victory, I'd still much rather be in Arsenal's position then the Spud's. We are second in the league on goal difference and fighting for the title. When was the last time Spurs challenged for the title? Or actually won the league? Was it 1961 or something like that? Also we have what they want so badly and have had for a long time. Champions League football. This was the year that they were going to take this away from us. Oh yeah? Don't think so!!

We have so much going for us, don't let this game get you too down. Remember the run had to end some time, OK not in the way it did but remember that Spud's will live off this for the rest of their lives. We have our titles and Cup history to remind them about. Not forgetting the future trophies that this young Arsenal side will bring. Trust me, these players will be stronger for this Cup run in the long run.

We have to face it, Spurs were better than us over the two legs. It hurts at the moment, but that pain will go away. This result will be irreverent at the end of the season when we are crowned Champions and the Spud's have been beaten in the final. Dont forget it took 21 games for them to beat us, dont forget we've done the double over them in the league this season, don't forget it took a Gooner for them to win their last Cup, and don't forget that they wont be in the Champions League again next season, unlike us.

So Spud's, gloat while you can. You know it won't last, when we are crowned Champions and have either the Champions League or FA Cup wrapped up. It won't mean a thing. Your'e eleventh in the league and exactly 27 points behind my dear club. You haven't won a trophie since 1999 and will proberly never see your side win the league in your lifetime again. So enjoy the Fizzy Pop Cup. It's about your level. Mickey Mouse.

Keep it Goonerish.

Totally agree. Fuck the Yid cunts, we know that we are better than them, FAR better. When they don't even get into Europe next season we can sing "Lets all laugh at Tottenham"

The day those Yid cunts are in the Champions League will be the day I'm lying six feet under. Let them enjoy their Mickey Mouse two-bob Cup. We've got bigger fish to fry.

Arsenal deserved to lose last night. But Spurs should'nt go over the top with thier celebrations. They haven't won anything yet and I'm sure that the trophy cabinet at the Emirates will have some silverwear at the end of the season. (Millwall fan)

I think they deserved to go through, they played great football and closed down every opportuntity we had with the ball... it was a flattering result really as we had 69% of the ball, but all we seemed to be able to do was pass it around... justin Hoyte was their target and they worked him well, even Keane twisted Gallas up a couple of times... I don't really care about last nights result TBH, we are Joint Leaders in the League, We have AC Milan coming up and we will go and win the FA... For 3 seasons in a row we have got to the Semi's of the CC Cup using just the youngsters and the beating they got last night will have taught them a valuable lesson.

I will always be a gooner till I die...

wrighty7 your command of the English language leaves a lot to be desired and this is a poor blog at best..

just take your beating and move on...basically what i'm trying to say is show a little respect for yourself and your fellow supporters and just leave us be with our victory..

and also, in all seriousness i'll bet we'll win as many trophies as ye do this season.. i'd wager my house on it.. this assumption is based on the fact that ye will almost certainly win nothing..

that is all...

what a twat you are. humiliated on national tv. magnanimous or gracious in defeat? I think not. yes we celebrated; we had every reason. just accept the better team won, nay, annhialated you over 180 minutes.
next season please play your 'full team' to give us a good game. I reckon your ladies team would have played better last night and we could have fucked them like we did to you LOL

A little fact finding task for you all.

Look up how many competions Spurs have historically won in Europe. Now, look up how many competions Arsenal has historically won in Europe.

After you done this, you may want to stop bleating about how you are still in the Champions league because as per usual you will bottle it...and even if you did win it (which is no chance) you still will not have had greater european team than Spurs.

oh tut tut Goonerman...you've just proved my point and humiliated yourself and your club....

i'd like to say that i expected a bit more humility from you but i didn't really... i didn't come on here goading you about winning 5-1 have i?? no i just simply wanted you all to accept and be magnanimous in defeat...

i guess there's no hope for you..

for the record
Tottenham in Europe: 3
Arsenal in Europe: 2

The reason why we can't accept your victory is because it had been so long since you last beat us, we had forgotten what it felt like.

Arsenal=Champions League football
Tottenham=UEFA Cup

Enjoy.

ah well.. at least you acknowledged you can't accept the defeat... sour grapes if you ask me.. but what do i know..

Anonymous said...

The silly thing is, this was your best chance of winning a trophy - I really cant see you winning either of the PL, CL or FA Cup

Lol

You got battered.

But your still the better team overall as previous results show.

I'll savour the moment for now.

Fair enough?
