Arsenal linked with wide player-who scores goals!

I remember a time when Arsenal were linked with every Tom, Dick and Harry that was available.

There wasn't a day gone by when we wasn't about to sign someone-according to newspaper's and other sources.

Now it seems that we are only linked with the new "Kaka", twelve year old Brazilian's or their son's cousin who is four and a half!

This latest rumour is different though. This player is estabilished and has proven quality, is a wide player (on either flank) he score's goals AND would not bust the bank! A perfect signing you say? I'd like it to happen. His name?......

Ricardo Quaresma. The Porto star could be available for a cut-price fee of just £5m, but, I must add, only if Porto are relegated due to match-fixing rumours.

In any case he is the sort of signing I would like Wenger to make. Creative, exciting, shoots on sight and get's you on the edge of your seat. Whether there is substance to the story I don't know. But it's nice to linked to a player of this caliber for a change!

I suppose I can dream!.......

Keep it Goonerish...........

An Arsenal-type player for sure. Will it happen? In a word-NO.

well he said he could have had both him and ben alfar in the summer, think we will get both this summer. and still have hope of a big name like kaka!!

I watched Quaresma in the CL tie against Schalke and he was awful - clean through and missed and his general passing and crossing was poor.

This can be forgiven in a one off match but the main issue i had was that his decision making was just wayward and looking at his stats he doesnt score that many goals and we dont need another hleb - we need somebody who can score half as many goals as Ronaldo does for Man U or even a Bobby Pires who scored a hatful for us from the wings.

If Rosicky can keep fit then he might be the answer but thats if he can keep fit

I would like to see us go after Miroslav Klose, he is exactly who we would need in the squad. A proven goal scorer.

he is overarated and a show-pony... definatly not an Arsenal player

He likes being a big fish in a small pond... perfect for him at Porto.

I also doubt Porto will get relegated. It will only be a 6 point deduction and they have pretty much won the league already.

klose is too old to join arsenal..better sign young but quality player such as sergio aguero or kaka

Sergio Aguero would be a quality signing. Does wonders for my Arsenal team on FM2008 but we all know it won't happen. If only he was 12 and cost £250....
