Bendtner late than never! Us Gooner's should be so proud of this squad.

A late late goal from our Danish star Nicklas Bendtner has kept us at the top of the table after a 1-1 draw with Villa at the Emirates. After conceding a goal so late last week which made the draw at Birmingham feel like a defeat, this is in stark contrast to this week. It feel's a bit like a win today after scoring so late and this will surely buoy the players and give them the confidence to go to Milan and get a result...............This Arsenal side showed their resiliance again today and simply refuse to be beaten. It takes alot for us to lose and us Gooner's can be proud of this squad for the way they have performed this season. There is a real fighting spirit amongst this side and I think that Gallas has alot to do with this. Making him captain has installed a 'fight till the end' mentality to the team and we are seeing this all the time. So all those anti-Gallas anti-Arsenal prats, like that muppet Mark Lawrenson, do one. You all want Arsenal to fail because you all will have egg on your muggy faces after writing us off. Well this team have the balls and the bottle to fight for this title all the way and it makes me so proud to be a Gooner................Keep it Goonerish...

Got to say, I was a little surprised to see the lack of love Bendtner got from the boys after he scored. I think that is telling, he's out at the end of the season...

Please explain Royston how that is telling mate?

Well the team aren't with him. They're not behind him, you could see Bendtner's face, happy but restrained.
I mean Arsenal make sure more than any other team that they have a solidarity. After the games they huddle togethor and share the moment. Every goal is celebrated to the max, not this one though..

If Arsenal win the league then i'll eat my Aston Villa shirt at the emptycrates stadium. We pissed u lot today, u are fucking lucky that u got a point. Manchester United will win the league and next season we'll be challenging for the title with u lot. Aston Villan

You have a short term memory. Man United are either hot or cold, remember we have lost only once in the league this year, we're consistent. How many times have united blundered??
Granted Villa played better than their talent usually brings to a game, but Arsenal never say die..

I understand your point Royston. Under the circumstances of his goal i'd expected him to have been mobbed. I hope he stays as he adds something different to the side. Aston Villan i'll take u up on that. Eat your shirt if Arsenal win the league shovel mouth.

Anon 18:48,

No offence taken mate. You are intitled to an opinion and I respect all comment's made on this blog.

It is pro-Arsenal because we had just scored in the last minute and I was happy that we remain top of the table. I should have added the fact that Villa played very well and that we are fortunate to get a point.

I did have my Arsenal blinkers on!!!
