Fabregas is committed to Arsenal.....For now

I have no doubts about Cesc Fabregas' immediate commitment to Arsenal. He is very committed to the Arsenal cause and in hindsight is the correct choice for the armband at the club.

I believe he will be at the club for many years and he will stamp his legacy at Arsenal. He will become an Arsenal legend.

There are suggestions from some quarters that Arsene Wenger only gave him the armband to keep him at Arsenal. I don't believe for a second that this is true.

There will always be rumours that Fabregas is leaving Arsenal. It happens to all the best players at the club. We will continue to hear these rumours all the time.

I don't think that Fabregas is going anywhere anytime soon. Not for many years. He loves the club and us Gooners. And we love him back.

Fabregas will leave Arsenal one day. I think most Gooners have accepted that. One day the calling for him going home to Barcelona will be too strong and he will go back.

And will we Gooners begrudge him that? Of course we won't. We didn't begrudge Theirry Henry leaving, we didn't begrudge Patrick Vieira leaving. True Arsenal legends. And Cesc Fabregas will match their achievements at Arsenal, of that I'm sure.

Let's enjoy Cesc Fabregas. A world class player who loves the club and for now leads us into a new era. A player destined to become an Arsenal great.

Keep it Goonerish................

The difference between Fabregas and Henry/Viera are they left when they had given their all and their best to AFC, Fabregas will sadly leave well before this as he already is well on his way to being an AFC legend.

Good piece mate

cesc will leave one day but it depends if we are winning trophies.

if cesc is the captain of an all conquering team, why would he want to leave at all.

and if he does it wont be until hes 30+

all depends on how great we become.

Oh come on guys....let's be real here!

I think that he is the wrong choice for captain and think that toure/clichy should have been handled the mantle

It's like no-one see's that football/Arsenal have changed since the day's of Adams, vieira, etc in that we are no longer the force we once were.

If wenger continues to believe that the lught-weight players that we have in our team are good enough to win the prem/champions league,Fabregas will be off before we know it

(let's just be honest with ourselves)

Lets not kidd ourselves. It all good cesc is captain no doubt, but unless we get start winning things I give him 2-3 years max at arsenal. Cesc is not dumb he knows he is not ready to jump straight in the Barca starting XI now and will be playing second fiddle to Xavi etc as he does for spain, but in 2-3 years time imagine how awesome he will be, he will be an automatic choice, and that is when he will leave, unless we start winning things of course. But the way this is going we are not unless Wenger adds some steel and experience to the team and stops persisting with SOME of these young players who are clearly not up to the task.

Futhermore, I just want to say that I'm really fucked off that I can't go to the game tonight because I am ill so won't get to witness Cesc's first game as captain. To make it even worst the game is on ITV not Sky so will have to put up with little or no replays, crap analysis and some twat co-commentator like David "when I was at Tottenham" pleat!!! sorry to rant but I am missing the pre-match football talk usually enjoyed in the pub, oh well COME ON ARSENAL!!!

i still feel arsenal are short of leaders. it might have been the case that arsenal players would play for gallas but from i have seen they are very short on leaders.attacking wise arsenal seamed have lost alot of form they just are not creating anything and are very short on confedence but i have no dought that a few wins will get there confence right up. i think arsenals defence is pretty solid but because there not getting any protection from midfield.
